Course - emergency paediatric

This course is designed for anyone wanting to become qualified in administering first aid to children and infants. It is ideal for anyone who works with or comes into contact with infants and children in their working or voluntary roles.

This course is also ideal for parents and families with young children.

1 day which can be split into bespoke sessions upon request

ASSESSMENT

The course will be assessed by a multi choice question paper and and an observed practical assessment conducted by an assessor not involved in the training delivery

QUALIFICATION & RECERTIFICATION

Successful candidates will receive a certificate from UK Rural Skills which is valid for 3 years and linked to National Occupational Standards.

• Scene assessment
• Patient assessment
• Primary Survey

• Unresponsive infant and child including seizures
• The choking infant/child

• Anaphylaxis
